Content
This course offers a
broad programme aimed at developing the students understanding of fine art
principles and practice. Students will acquire understanding of line,
colour, form and space during workshop sessions. They will also examine
contemporary cultural issues which both inform and shape fine art
practice. All students will prepare a folder of work and will be able to
evaluate and present this.

Students are assessed
through assignments and their portfolio of work.
Entry
Requirements
Applicants should
normally possess 4 GCSEs (grade ‘C’ or above), an appropriate
Intermediate GNVQ, or equivalent qualification. They will also need a
portfolio of Art work and be able to provide satisfactory references.
Applications from indivduals with relevant previous experience, including
mature students, are particularly welcomed.
Opportunities
This
course will enable students to prepare a portfolio of work for progression
onto either an HND or degree course in Art and Design. The course will
also provide a base for personal visual development and progression. |
