Content
The aim
of this course is to expand the student’s knowledge of the operation of
business organisations. It provides students with the opportunity to
develop their business skills and enables them to progress onto a degree
or employment. As part of the course students will improve their critical
thinking, powers of analysis and evaluative skills. The course includes

Entry
Requirements
In association with De Montfort University the College offers four Higher National
Diplomas (HNDs). These Are listed in the UCAS handbook under the University's ''table of associate and linked colleges and campuses" (see DEM D26, Campus code Z). An additional HND in Travel and Tourism is offered through a consortium arrangement.

To apply
for HND courses applicant should normally meet one of the following criteria:

1 Possess an appropriate BTEC National Certificate, National Diploma, Advanced GNVQ or equivalent qualification.

2 Have studied two subjects to A level with a pass in at least one subject and four passes at GCSE level (grade 'C' or above), preferably including English and
Maths.
The College also welcomes applications for HND programmes from mature students (candidates aged 21 and over at commencement of their course) who are unable to meet normal entry requirements but who have relevant previous experience.
Applications for these courses should normally be made through UCAS. However, if

Opportunities
On
successful completion of this course students can enter careers in
accountancy, administration, computing, insurance, marketing, retailing or
personnel. Alternatively students with suitable grades, can progress to
the third year of a business degree programme. Such as Year 3 of the BA in
Business Administration at De Montfort University.
