Over the last 20 years Grantham College has developed a range of programmes specifically for overseas students. These programmes are designed to provide EFL (English as a Foreign Language) tuition at a variety of different levels and allow individual students to progress on to further studies if they wish.

On all programmes class sizes are intentionally kept small (on average between 8 to 10 students) in order to maximise the amount of time and individual attention that students get. Similarly it is recognised that students progress at different rates and to allow for this the duration of formal teaching sessions is restricted to a maximum of 60 minutes at any one time.

All classes place primary emphasis on developing students' speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. These are taught using the very Iatest teaching materials and methods of instruction.

The College offers three broad levels of assistance:

The appropriateness of these levels to each student will depend largely on how good their written and spoken English is.

Whatever the level, students can be assured that they will be Iooked after by a team of caring and experienced teachers, all of whom have previously lived and worked outside the UK. AlI the EFL staff at Grantham College are fluent in a number of languages and are, therefore, familiar with the difficulties of living in a foreign country and of learning a second language. Above all, staff are friendly and approachable and will help in every way possible to fulfil students' needs.
